WHAT IS A MOLD INVESTIGATION?

What is a mold investigation?

Mold investigations (also called mold assessments) can vary tremendously, so this is an important question that any business or homeowner should ask. Our mold investigations are based on a forensic approach that seeks to identify the underlying sources of the problem as well as the presence and identification of mold. We rely on a system of visual inspection, viable sampling, non-viable sampling, surface and bulk sampling, and moisture testing that, when taken together, provide a much more reliable and valid assessment than most investigators are able to achieve. We have the capability of performing microscopic examinations on the premises that can provide a quick and much more accurate assessment. For example, instead of declaring an entire home "contaminated", we can zero in on the offending areas, sometimes to within small areas. By doing so, we can help you keep the remediation costs down.

One more point: WE DO NOT PERFORM MOLD REMEDIATION.

We believe it is a conflict of interest for the same professional to determine the presence of mold and then to perform the remediation work.

In other words, we are not paid a penny extra if we find mold! Our goal is only one thing: an accurate investigation.
